“Captain Tsubasa” which Takahashi drew, is translated in countries all over the world and is widely known throughout the Middle East as "Captain Majed". It is known for inspiring many young players to strive to become professional soccer players, and Xavi, belonging to the Qatari league, is among them. Takahashi will converse with Qatari league’s Xavi (negotiation regarding appearance is pending) in the talk show about the birth of Captain Tsubasa and other behind the scenes stories for the audience to enjoy. We are preparing a limited amount of Takahashi’s autograph as giveaways.
The documentary film in which the camera followed and archived the people of Onagawa in the Miyagi prefecture, a district devastated by the Great East Japan Earthquake, struggling to rebuild from the disaster. It depicts citizens trying to get on their feet, after everything including family, houses, workplaces were swept away by the tsunami, showing the deep bond with Qatar which established a large-scale fund to support Japan right after the earthquake.
A fantastic comedy depicting ghosts of the old samurai who lived 400 years ago. The story develops around the construction of a castle with scrap cardboard, as citizens get involved, and also getting caught up in conflict against the local authority of the town. It is produced by Yumiko Masuda, who also produced "Beyond the Tsunami -Onagawa, Hearts Connected-".
This is a fictional movie about a young girl who goes on a wild adventure as she searches for the hidden treasure left by pirates who were active in Japan long ago. This movie is also produced by the producer of “Beyond the Tsunami -Onagawa, Hearts Connected-”, Ms. Yumiko Masuda.
Special concert by leading Anime song singers from Japan: Chihiro Yonekura and Sayaka Sasaki, showcasing hit songs including “Arashino Nakade Kagayaite", the opening song of “Kido Senshi Gundam”, and closing song "Zzz", of the TV animated series "Nichijo", respectively. The two have performed overseas numerous times, but this is their first concert in the Middle East. We guarantee that it will be one of the most exciting live performances for anime fans.
Chihiro Yonekura, is a Japanese singer and songwriter from Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Chihiro has performed theme songs for various anime television series, such as Fairy Tail, Love Hine & Mobile Suit Gundam
Sayaka Sasaki, is a Japanese musician from Akita Prefecture signed to Lantis. She started her music career after winning the All-Japan Anison Grand Prix singing contest in 2009. It is an idol group to support the restoration of Tohoku, formed by the female students of the Tohoku region after the Great East Japan Earthquake. Along with entertainment activities, they’ve been involved in helping the affected areas and visiting temporary housing to bring joy and encouragement to the people.
Also, they have been promoting the recovery of Tohoku and the region’s specialties in overseas events.
They take a leadership role in the promotion and encouragement of Tohoku. The young and vibrant girls will sing Japanese pop songs to add a unique liveliness to the festival.
During the festival period, there will be an ongoing exhibition of Captain Tsubasa related goods in the venue. It will include Captain Tsubasa drawings, comics, and other related goods. There will also be an exhibition about Tohoku reconstruction, and a Tohoku tourism exhibit which highlights the tourism in Tohoku. In the entrance of the venue, there will be a giant ballon of “UFO Robot Grendizer”, which is extremely popular in the Middle East, welcoming the guests.
A lecture by a member of JASIA, which has been involved in continual support of the reconstruction of disaster devastated sites, such as Tohoku, since the Great East Japan Earthquake. This lecture will cover the disaster prevention and mitigation measures taken in the Tohoku area since the earthquake, as well as look at similar methods for natural disasters that can occur in any part of the world. In conjunction, there will be an exhibit of photo panels and posters about these issues at the venue.
We are pleased to announce great news for the rapidly increasing Muslim population! Three years has passed since the start of our activity to form a bridge between Qatar and Japan, and we have reached one answer with many Qatari friends. We would like to present from Doha, the capital of Qatar, to the whole world, the "Mobile Mosque for Word Peace" project, which is made possible with a unique Japanese perspective. The Muslim population, as well as Muslim tourists, have been increasing in Japan, but the construction of mosques are unfortunately not up to speed. It is expected that Muslim visitors to Japan will increase as we near the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in 2020. The Mobile Mosque would be a new style of Japanese Omotenashi-hospitality-which can travel anywhere. It will also play an active part at big, global event such as sports events in Qatar, at which there will be an increased need for mosques. We present an original and radical form of a mosque that is customizable, adopting advanced Japanese technology.
A fashion show by "Kimono Club", whose activity is to spread the charm of kimono in Qatar. The group is mainly led by Japanese residents in Qatar. The show is an opportunity for the audience to enjoy sophisticated kimono designs that are also popular in Qatar.
In the winter there is snowfall, while in the summer people enjoy swimming in the ocean. The four seasons in Japan are distinct, and one can enjoy beautiful natural sceneries with each season. We hope to have the audience at the Ms.Nishiwaki produce kimono show specifically featuring the changing four seasons in Japan as the theme.
After the greeting speech by the organizer and words by the guest, we will give a program guide of the events.
After that, a local Qatari youth shows a demo of "the kendo" that is traditional sports of Japan, heartily demonstrate the results of daily practice. Kendo is sports to inherit the mind of "the samurai spirit“ and increases the popularity in foreign countries.
The Japan and Qatar Friendship Party reception welcomes the promoter, artists and related people from both countries, to celebrate the opening of the festival and wish for its success.
There will be a screening of the movie "Beyond the Tsunami -Onagawa, Hearts Connected-" after the reception.
