Spirit of Japan to the world “Samurai Festival” in Qatar

2022, the year of the Qatar World Cup, marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Qatar. We are delighted to organize this event, confident that it will be a catalyst of world peace by encouraging further exchange of culture in various fields and deepening an understanding of Islamic culture, as well as promoting the bond between the two countries who have established strong economic ties. Many Qatari companies are welcome to join an exchange party with other Japanese companies which will be held during the festival. With the cooperation of friends in the State of Qatar and Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the members of the executive committee who are closely linked with the country will play a key role to develop this event that we hope many people will enjoy.

The festival aims to introduce Japan as it is recovering from the effects of the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, pushing itself forward powerfully, and introduce its pop and traditional cultures and sports.

世界発信 Mobile Mosque for Word Peace

"Mobile Mosque" Press Release

We are pleased to announce great news for the rapidly increasing Muslim population! Three years has passed since the start of our activity to form a bridge between Qatar and Japan, and we have reached one answer with many Qatari friends. We would like to present from Doha, the capital of Qatar, to the whole world, the "Mobile Mosque for Word Peace" project, which is made possible with a unique Japanese perspective. The Muslim population, as well as Muslim tourists, have been increasing in Japan, but the construction of mosques are unfortunately not up to speed. It is expected that Muslim visitors to Japan will increase as we near the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics in 2020. The Mobile Mosque would be a new style of Japanese Omotenashi-hospitality-which can travel anywhere. It will also play an active part at big, global event such as sports events in Qatar, at which there will be an increased need for mosques. We present an original and radical form of a mosque that is customizable, adopting advanced Japanese technology.
